You can renew your dog license online. You can use the owner's name, dog license number, or the dog's name. There will be a convenience fee of $1.75 per transaction, not per dog license, added to the license fee amount. If rabies has expired or will expire within the month, you will not be able to license your dog online. You are able to renew your dog licenses at any time, whether the renewal is up or not. The Town Clerk accepts cash, personal checks, money orders, and credit cards. A $15 fee will be assessed for returned checks.
All dogs 4 months of age and older must be licensed. Fees are as follows: spayed/neutered $9, unspayed/unneutered $18. An updated copy of the rabies vaccination is required. Checks should be made payable to Attica Town Clerk. Dog licenses can be mailed to the Town Clerk's attention. Mail to: Attica Town Clerk, 9 Water Street, Attica, NY 14011. Marriage licenses require the presence of the bride and groom. Original birth certificates (with seal) , as well as a driver’s license or passport, are required for identification purposes. Divorced applicants must bring dated divorce papers. The cost is $40, made payable to the Attica Town Clerk. A marriage ceremony cannot occur until 24 hours after license issuance and the license is valid for up to 60 days.
The Town Clerk issues the permit after your physician has filled out the required paperwork. Please see attached instructions and application. A valid photo ID is required. There is no fee for the permit.
To request copies of Town records, please complete the FOIL request form and submit it to the Town Clerk. Copies will only be made after payment has been received. FOIL Request Form
Certified copies of marriage licenses may be issued to the spouses listed on the license.
The time periods are waived for direct line descendants. A direct line descendant is a person in the direct line of descent, i.e., the child, grandchild, great-grandchild of the person whose record is requested. The direct line descendant applicant must provide the following:
Proof of their relationship to the person whose record they are requesting.
Proof of the death of the person whose birth certificate they are requesting.
